Volunteering

• The success of RMLL is dependent upon the work of volunteers.  There are many opportunities to volunteer with the league, a team, or during the games. RMLL's board of directors encourages and expects each RMLL family to volunteer for a minimum of 4 hours during the season.  Please indicate your volunteer interests in the appropriate section of the registration.
• Unlike many volunteer youth sports organizations, RMLL does not require a volunteer deposit. However, if you absolutely cannot volunteer, we encourage you to make a minimum donation of $100 when you register.

SportsEngine

• Once you create an account with SportsEngine, it will save your information for future registrations
• Please double check that your SportsEngine profile and 2025 Registration data has the correct contact info for all parents, guardians, and alternate contacts

Important Details for the 2025 Season 

• Blast Ball is being offered on either Wednesdays or Saturdays. Please be sure to select your preferred day when prompted during registration*  
• T-ball is being offered on either Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Please be sure to select your preferred days when prompted during registration*
• A $25 administration charge per player will be added to all "offline" payment registrations
• All players Little League age 9 or older that do not attend an evaluation session will be moved to a waitlist, and available spots will be determined during team formation
• There will be NO Picture Day or League provided photos
• After registration closes for each division, wait list registrations are accepted but spots are not guaranteed.

Player Evaluation Info

• Players registering in the Minors, Majors and Intermediate/Junior/Senior Divisions (league age 9 and older, plus any 8 year old trying out for Minors) MUST attend an evaluation session. 
• Evaluation dates for Minors, Majors and Intermediate/Junior/Senior are March 8, 2025 and March 9, 2025. 
• All players league age 9 or older who do not attend an evaluation session will be moved to a waitlist, and we will determine if a spot is available for them as the teams are formed
• Players registering in  Blast Ball, T-Ball and Rookie Ball Divisions DO NOT attend evaluations

 Special Requests 

• Please note that approval for all friend requests, requests for a specific coach, or requests to play in a Division outside of the player's league age are subject to approval by the RMLL Player Agent, and not all requests can be accommodated 

Fees

• Registration fees will increase by $100 on February 14, 2025 for players in Minors, Majors and Intermediate/Junior/Senior Divisions.
• Registration fees for Blast Ball, T-Ball and Rookie Ball Divisions will increase by $50 on March 1, 2025.

Refund Policy

• Any request to withdraw and receive a refund must be sent via email to registrar.rmll@gmail.com
• For players in Blast Ball, T-Ball and Rookie Ball:
  • Requests to withdraw on or before March 31st will receive a full refund less a $25 administration fee
  • No refunds are provided for any request received on or after April 1st 
• For players in Minors, Majors and Intermediate/Junior/Senior Divisions:
  • Requests to withdraw before the first evaluation session (March 8 or March 9, 2025) will receive a full refund less a $25 non-refundable fee
  • Requests received after the first evaluation session will receive a refund less a $75                  non-refundable fee
  • No refunds are provided for any request received after teams have been formed

Donations

• The registration system will ask if you would like to make a donation or sponsorship to RMLL
• Donations or sponsorship funds will be used to purchase new equipment, diamond maintenance supplies, uniforms, and winter facility rental fees for preseason practices and clinics

Coaching

RMLL needs dedicated volunteer coaches for the upcoming baseball season, and who is more dedicated to their child’s success than YOU! 

At RMLL, we understand that everyone starts somewhere, and that's why we provide comprehensive coaching training before the season kicks off to help with skill development and planning effective practices! This way, the season remains a fun and rewarding experience for both players and families. 

And don’t worry - RMLL covers all costs associated with coach training! 

We are committed to equipping our coaches with the essential tools for success on and off the field. When you become a coach with RMLL, you become part of a community that values the positive impact of youth sports culture. We work closely with the  Positive Coaching Alliance  to ensure that our coaches are educated on the power of positivity in shaping young athletes. 

If you've ever considered becoming a coach but felt unsure about your abilities to teach baseball, fear not! The most important aspect of coaching kids is to keep them engaged in the game and to have fun learning the game of baseball!

RMLL needs at least two rostered volunteer coaches per team. Little League Canada and RMLL requires all volunteers (including head coaches and assistants) to complete annual vulnerable sector checks (administered by Calgary Police Services) and Little League Canada volunteer forms/screening procedures. Prospective/interested coaches are asked to submit ePIC background check requests as soon as possible.  See the RMLL Documents/Rules page and scroll to LITTLE LEAGUE VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS - 2025 for full details.
